Canyoning on Tamaira creek

Tamaira River is located in the coastal mountain range of Vargas State, close to Puerto Cruz bay. This river leads us to a group of five consecutives waterfalls; which we descend in rappel (canyoning or canyoneering). To get into the river, we have to walk approximately one hour through a beautiful tropical forest, and on the path we can see different species of birds and plants.

The height of the waterfalls increases steadily, from 15 meters up to 90. At the end of the last rappel we keep walking along the river about 20 minutes, until we reach the beach, where we can enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea.

This Canyoning involves a minimum of physical endurance and courage, because sometimes we have to walk through some difficult trails to access the waterfalls.
