The natural monument "Arístides Rojas" (Morros de San Juan), is situated very close of San Juan de Los Morros' town in Guarico State, which is just a couple hours away from Caracas. The landscape that surrounds this area contrasts with the vertical walls of these interesting rock formations.
The “Morro de Los Monos”, which is located inside the natural monument “Arístides Rojas”, has a vertical cavity of 50 meters high very close to the summit that communicates with the southern wall of the morro/crag. This cavity or summit can be descended in rapel, which we execute in three phases/stages (one of 50 meters, other of 30 meters and the last one of 50 meters) until we reach base.
We walk in oder to get to the top/summit, and once we get there it is possible to admire and observe the capital of Guarico State and the beginning of the central plains of the country. During the trajectory the foothills are passed and then we do a quick walk over rock formations until we get to the summit.
During this trip you will enjoy a different day in contact with nature while scouring the paths and descending through this interesting vertical cave.
