Biking and Canyoning - Petaquirito

This excursion begins in the central coast of Vargas State, departing on mountain bikes from Chichiriviche de La Costa to Petaquirito Beach. The route has 7.5 kilometers of trajectory that varies between hills and downhills. While biking, the extraordinary landscape of Varga's coast can be plentifully enjoyed.

Petaquirito's waterfall is located in the coastal mountain range of Vargas State, just a few kilometers from to Chichiriviche de La Costa. The waterfall its approximately 45 meters high and can be descended throughout the use of ropes (canyoneering).

During the trip we offer assistance of vehicles which would support us while biking and also to leave the bikes when we start the trekking through the trail to access the waterfall and descend in canyoning.

Requirements:

• Be at least 15 years old. In case of being a minor, the parents or legal guardian must authorize the activity.
• Is not necessary to have previous experience.

Duration: One day, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Schedule: We can offer the trip any date you wish, as long as it has at least two participants (subject to our availability). Also, you can view our activities calendar.

Capacity: From 2 to 8 people.

It offers:

• Specialized guides.
• Technical equipment (helmets, harnesses, ropes, etc).
• Snack (sandwich, fruit and juice).
• First aid kit.
• Pictures/photographs taken during the activity.
• Drinks while biking (water)
• Support vehicle during the trip.
• Service of bike's transportation (if you hire our transportation services).
• Bike's toolbox (does not includes spare parts)
• Pictures/photographs taken during the activity

Equipment needed:

• Mountain bike. If you don't have one, we offer bikes for rent.
• Helmet for biking.
• Comfortable sportswear and shoes for walking in the river.
• Comfortable sportswear for biking (we recommend maillot or spandex).
• Headscarf to use with the helmet.
• Camel bag and/or bike's bottle.
• Change of clothing to use at the end of the activity.
• Bathing suit and towel.
• Flashlight or headlamp (with batteries).
• Water bottle.
• Insect repellent.
• Camera (waterproof).
• Gloves (optional, but recommended).

Transportation: Participants can arrange their own transportation to and from Chichiriviche de La Costa, or they can hire our transportation service.
